Position Overview

We're looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to work closely with our research team to build the next generation of autonomous driving models. We have large datasets, abundant compute and lots of ideas. This role involves efficiently translating those into production quality models pushing the envelope in autonomous driving, working hand in hand with our research scientists all the way to the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

Train machine learning models for autonomous driving related applications
Optimize hardware utilization at both training and inference stages
Orchestrate distributed training runs in large GPU clusters
Set up and maintain model evaluation pipelines
Build custom tooling for experiment management

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science or similar
Professional programming experience in Python
Experience optimizing hardware utilization in distributed neural network training jobs, ideally using PyTorch
Ability to build clear abstractions for common workflows
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Must be located in commutable distance to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Preferred Qualifications

Background or interest in autonomous vehicles, ADAS, AI/ML, or simulation.
Proven ability to work in fast paced, startup environments.
Experience interacting with external clients and technical stakeholders.
Development experience, particularly with C++, GitHub, Python, and PyTorch projects.
Research project management experience.
